What Inner Glow is — and is not
Inner Glow is a self-guided relaxation tool. It helps you settle your attention and relax using touch, words and light. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or address any health condition, and it is not a replacement for a doctor, psychologist or other qualified professional.
Please do not use it
- while driving, cycling, operating machinery or doing anything that needs your full attention;
- if you have epilepsy or have had seizures, unless a doctor says it is safe for you (the app avoids flashing, but uses slow visual movement and haptics);
- if you live with a serious mental illness such as psychosis, schizophrenia or severe depression, unless a professional advises it;
- as a substitute for care you have been advised to get.
Gentle by design
- No flashing, no strobing: all visual movement stays well below 0.5 Hz.
- "Reduce Motion" is respected: images become still and simply fade.
- Sound is optional and always starts at a low volume. Avoid binaural tones if you have a hearing condition or epilepsy.
- You can end any session at any time: hold the screen for two seconds or turn the phone face down.
Listen to yourself
If a session ever makes you feel uncomfortable, dizzy or upset, stop, open your eyes, move around and take a few normal breaths. It is fine to come back another time, or not at all.
